Head of Entrepreneur Academy
An expert in building Entrepreneurship ecosystems from the ground up, with 13 years track record of investment, mentorship, and training of startups and SMEs. Selma Bennis is an Edu-preneur, fervent serial entrepreneurship catalyser and economic and social activist, who is always eager to grow and share her knowledge and experience.
As the head of Entrepreneur Academy at UM6P, Selma is designing training programs for aspiring entrepreneurs amongst students, researchers and OCP executives. She recently participated as fellow to an exchange program by the US Department of State, where she spent 6 weeks in Washington DC in a startup tech-accelerator mentoring American entrepreneurs (March 2019), and where from she successfully secured support for an economic empowerment project for Morocco that she designed during those weeks.
Before joining the University, Selma worked at OCP Foundation for 5 years during which she helped build and implement OCPEN; a program dedicated to build the Moroccan Entrepreneurial Ecosystem through full support to all types of entrepreneurs. Her career and interest in Entrepreneurship started with a 3-year experience at Grant Thornton Paris providing financial due diligence within the mid cap segments to varied clients (Private Equity funds, industrial companies…) and four years after that working with SAHAM, an Insurance company, on investments as an Asset Manager.
Selma holds two Master Degrees: one in Finance from Dauphine University and one from Telecom INT in Paris, France.
