Pr. Ahmed RATNANI is the lead of Al Khwarizmi center at University Polytechnic Mohamed VI and a member of Modeling, Simulation and Data Analysis lab. Prior to joining UM6P, he led the Magnetohydrodynamic research group at the Max-Planck Institut für Plasmaphysik in Munich, member of the prestigious Max-Planck Society. He also worked at the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) and at Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du numérique (INRIA).

He is an engineer in mathematical finance and holds a MSc from Paris VI – Analyse Numérique et Equations aux dérivées partielles. He defended his Phd at University of Strasbourg on the Isogeometric Analysis in Plasma Physics and Electromagnetism. His research focuses on numerical simulation, parallel computing and high performance computing in addition to the development of scientific codes et innovative numerical methods.
