Brief biography

Pr. Fayssal BENKHALDOUN is a Full Professor of outstanding Class in Applied Mathematics at UM6P and Université Sorbonne Paris NORD (USPN). PI of several Industrial projects.  He is project leader of international office and head of the Modeling and Scientific Computing team, of the LAGA mathematical laboratory at USPN.  His teachings have covered all academic levels from L1 to PhD through INSA Rouen, several DEA and Masters, France, Maghreb, Africa and International.  He successively obtained a doctoral thesis at INRIA Sophia Antipolis (1988), a state thesis at the School Mohamedia d’Ingénieurs and an HDR at the University of Rouen.  Author of more than 130 publications including 50 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. Reviewer for more than 30 international journals including JCP, Int J Nul. Meth, Comp & Fluids Fluids, CMAME and others.  Fayssal Benkhaldoun conceived and organized the first international FVCA symposium. His research interests include Numerical methods, Digital Engineering Sciences, Computational Geometry and Complex Data Structures, Hyperbolic Systems and Adaptive Finite Volume Methods.  He has supervised about twenty PhD and HDR theses and a hundred masters and engineers project.
