Christian B. Fischer is lecturer at the University Koblenz-Landau, Germany, affiliated to the physics department and additionally adjunct-Professor at the MSN Department of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Morocco. He received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 2004 from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany. After a post doctorate stay in surface science 2006 on the subject of hydrogen storage with carbonaceous materials at the physics department of the University Bayreuth, Germany, he has worked in the fields of surface technology and corrosion resistance and held several positions as senior researcher in academia and industry. In 2010 he was appointed as assistant professor at the University Koblenz-Landau. He authored/co-authored more than 100 contributions including articles, patents and conference entries, and project reports. He manages two national projects (DFG) and an international COST research project as working group leader (CA16227) and collaborations with Italy, Portugal, Finland, Croatia as well as the synchrotron source BESSY-Germany and industrial partners.
